Community Based Residential Care Facility for Abandoned Older Women

Get Involved and Participate in the Community

COSE’s  Home is a residential care facility for abandoned older women located in San Jose, Del Monte, Bulacan. COSE provides the basic needs of the residents such as food, clothing, and medicines. The houses were donated by Misereor Germany and turned over to COSE in 1992.

Our “Group Home” for abandoned older women – who are still capable of doing things to continue living freely, was established as our initiative and in partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

COSE believes that older persons could share their experiences and wisdom with others, thus it encourages residents to get involved and participate in the community. Residents may attend and participate in activities initiated by various entities such as the barangay, homeowners association, churches, older person organizations, etc.

Please contact our Resource Development team for donations, activities, and other inquiries about the Group Home. You may send an e-mail to resourcemob@cose.org.ph or call at  +63 (02) 8374-6416 or +63 (02) 8709-6567

COSE elderly home for abandoned women

Old people are honored in the Philippines but aging is not. Beyond all the good programs (health care, advocacy ,etc) my deepest wish is that both older people and society look at aging differently and older people become who they are supposed to be… at the peak and not end of a lifetime of growth and hence invaluable to themselves and others.
