Community Based Residential Care Facility for Abandoned Older Women

Get Involved and Participate in the Community

COSE’s  Group Home is a residential care facility for abandoned older women located in San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan. COSE provides for the basic needs of the residents such as food, clothing, and medicines. The houses were donated by Misereor Germany and turned over to COSE in 1992.

Established as a joint initiative with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), COSE’s Group Home supports abandoned older women who are still capable of living independently.

Believing that older adults have valuable experiences and wisdom to share, COSE encourages residents to engage with the community. Residents are free to participate in activities organized by the local barangay, homeowners association, churches, and senior citizens’ organizations.

Please contact COSE for donations, activities, and other inquiries regarding the Group Home. You can email resourcemob@cose.org.ph or call at  +63 (02) 8374-6416 or +63 (02) 8709-6567.

COSE elderly home for abandoned women

Old people are honored in the Philippines but aging is not. Beyond all the good programs (health care, advocacy ,etc) my deepest wish is that both older people and society look at aging differently and older people become who they are supposed to be… at the peak and not end of a lifetime of growth and hence invaluable to themselves and others.
